I’d Rather Be Farming

And then the rain came…

September rains have flooded area fields, homes, and communities.  We are covering those impacted in prayer.

I am pretty confident these two would rather be farming but until the ground allows, we will patiently (not easy this time of year!) wait.

Blessings on your day.

A great reminder for us all…

James 5:7 (MSG) “Meanwhile, friends, wait patiently for the Master’s Arrival.  You see farmers do this all the time, waiting for their valuable crops to mature, patiently letting the rain do it’s slow but sure work.  Be patient like that.  Stay steady and strong.  The Master could arrive at any time.”

  1. Hi Sarah,
I haven’t visited your site for awhile and have just now seen your post on Emanuel School Garden. Thank you. It is beautifully done. I thank God for you and your talents to express your faith through all aspects of your life. I still have the nice card you sent to me setting on my kitchen window sill and pray often for whatever person who comes to mind using the Bible verses on the card.
Have you ever heard of “Farm Girl Fresh?” A couple of farm wives like you who share recipes and faith. I met them when Virgil and I attended the MN. Garlic Festival in Hutchinson last August. Just Google them and I’m sure you’ll enjoy their blog.
We recently were referred to a new brewery in Blakely, MN (a town that is on an intersection between Green Isle and Belle Plaine.) We went there and were pleasantly surprised with the selection of buffalo wild wings and sauces and burgers and of course some unusual beer selections that are brewed there. I don’t drink beer, but Virgil enjoyed trying several varieties. If you and the Albrecht’s want to come sometime and check it out, let me know and we’ll meet you there.
I am on spring break this week and plan to spend much of it on School Garden planning.

    Happy Spring!
    Marilyn Vollbrecht
